Mrs. Myrtle I. (Joudrey) Smith, 88, of 7 Malloy Avenue, Gorham, NH and formerly of Gorham, ME, passed away on Saturday November 12, 2005 at the Coos County Nursing Home in Berlin, NH. She was born in Berlin, NH on October 22, 1917 the daughter of Roger R. and Ada (Veinotte) Joudrey. The family moved to Gorham, NH in 1920 where she resided for many years. She was a graduate of Gorham High School with the Class of 1935. She later did nurses training at St. Barnabas Hospital in Portland, ME. She was married to Clarence H. Smith on May 29, 1938. Mrs. Smith lived in Portland and Gorham, ME until moving back to Gorham, NH to live with her sister. She was a member of the Narragansett Rebekah Lodge of Gorham, ME and attended the Methodist Church of Gorham, ME. Surviving relatives include her sister Merna Joudrey of Gorham, NH, three nieces and one nephew. She was predeceased by her husband Clarence H. Smith on November 13, 2001. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday November 15, 2005 at 2:00 PM at the Bryant Funeral Home, 1 Promenade Street, Gorham, NH. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home from 12 noon until the time of the service. Committal services will be held on Wednesday November 16, 2005 at 1:00 PM at the Dolby Funeral Chapel, 76 State Street, Gorham, ME., with interment in the Forrest City Cemetery in South Portland, ME. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00 AM until the time of the service. Anyone who wishes may make donations in her memory to the Coos County Nursing Home, PO Box 416, Berlin, NH, 03570.
