Nicholas Brooks

Mr. Nicholas M. Brooks, 84, of 54 Charron Avenue, Berlin, NH passed away on Wednesday evening Feb. 9, 2005 at the St. Vincent de Paul Health Care Center in Berlin. He was born in Berlin, NH on Oct. 20, 1920 the son of Michael and Julia (Cruze) Brooks and was a lifelong resident. He was a US Army veteran. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Brown Company, James River Corporation and Crown Vantage Corporation as a machinist, retiring in 1983. He was a member of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church. Members of the family include his wife Glenna A. (Gilbert) Brooks of Berlin; 3 sons Nicholas Brooks of Hancock, ME, Stephen Brooks of Wirtz, VA and Michael Brooks of Albertus, PA; a daughter Cynthia Levesque of Scarborough, ME; 8 grandchildren; 2 sisters Sophie Ferris of Colorado and Lucey Walters of Florida; nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by 3 sisters Mary Brooks, Amelia Wilbur and Alice DeCosta. SERVICES: A graveside service will be held at the New City Cemetery at a later date. There will be no calling hours. Anyone who wishes may make a donation in his memory to St. Barnabas Episcopal Church. Arrangements are by the Bryant Funeral Home.
