Norman E. “Pete” Eames, 79, of Errol, NH passed away on Friday April 17, 2020 in Errol. He was born in Stewartstown, NH on March 21, 1941 the son of the late Everett R. and Mona E. (Bennett) Eames and was a lifelong resident of Errol, NH. Pete was a graduate of Berlin High School. He was employed by his father at Eames Garage for many years. He was a former member of the I.O.O.F. and the Rebekah Assembly of New Hampshire and a former member of the Grange. Pete was a volunteer firefighter and formerly had served as Chief of the Errol Fire Department. He had served on the Errol School Board and was a very civic minded man.
Members of the family include his daughter Elizabeth Host and her husband Brad of Berlin, NH; a son Ethan Eames of Errol, NH; a sister Elsie Hall of Errol, NH; a brother Carleton Eames of Errol, NH; a daughter in law Claudette Eames of Milan, NH; his companion of several years Gloria Coffin of Errol, NH; four grandchildren Samuel Eames and his wife Melissa, Cristina Eames, Katherine Host and Rebecca Host; great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his wife Ella (Mullins) Eames, a son Jesse Eames and a brother Chester Eames.
SERVICES: A graveside service will be held on August 7, 2021 at 3 PM at the Errol Village Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are by the Bryant Funeral Homes, Berlin and Gorham, NH. Donations in his memory may be made to Errol Fire & Rescue, PO Box 64, Errol, NH, 03579.
