Berlin, NH

 Normand W. Gagne, 91, of Berlin and formerly of West Milan, passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2024 at the St. Vincent de Paul Rehabilitation and Nursing Center following a period of failing health. Normand was born on September 19, 1932 in St. Just, QC, Canada, the son of the late Charles and Lucina (Poulin) Gagne and immigrated to the United States in 1958. For many years, Normand was employed as an orderly at St. Louis Hospital, then as a custodian at Berlin High School, at James River Corp., at St. Kieran Parish (1978-2001) and finally at St. Kieran Community Center for the Arts until retiring in July of 2013.

 Normand was a member of St. Joseph, now Good Shepherd Parish, a 3rd degree Knights of Columbus, a member of the Sacred Heart League for St. Joseph Church and the Secular Franciscans.

 He is survived by his children: Denise Miller and husband Paul of Berlin, Cecile Van Hecke and husband David of Wisconsin, and Louise Gagne of Wisconsin; grandchildren: Jacqueline Baird and husband Peter, Colleen Moore and husband Stephen, Avery Miller and wife Day, Andrew Miller and wife Gabrielle, Bridget Miller, Regina Miller and fiance Odin, Joshua Van Hecke, Maxamillian Van Hecke and wife Sarah and Meg Van Hecke; great-grandchildren; siblings: Roland Gagne and wife Jeannine, Kilda Benoit, Marie Reine Gingues, Lucille Carbonneau, Therese Pouliot, Monique Gagne and Fernand Gagne and wife Carole; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

 He was predeceased by his wife Alice (Bergeron) Gagne, a daughter Marguerite Gagne, grandsons Ian Miller and Charlie Van Hecke, and siblings Sr. Rita Gagne, Sr. Jacqueline Gagne, Marie Paule Cotnoir and Gilles Gagne.

 A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 30, 2024 at 10am at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish, 345 Pleasant St., Berlin with interment following at St. Kieran Cemetery, Berlin. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday, August 29th from 5-7pm at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin. Donations in his memory may be made to St. Kieran Community Center for the Arts or Salve Regina Academy. Memories and condolences may be shared online at www.bryantfuneralhome.net.
