Olive (Hamlin) Hancock, 96, of Milan, passed away on Friday May 17, 2024 at the Country Village Center in Lancaster, NH. She was born in Milan, NH on October 1, 1927 the daughter of Merville and Doris (Young) Hamlin. She graduated from Berlin High School in 1945 and from the Northampton Commercial College in Northampton, MA. Olive had been employed for 2 years in the Brown Company Medical Department Office and later was a guidance office secretary at Berlin High School for 25 years, retiring in 1992. Olive was a member of Milan United Methodist Church and was the treasurer and secretary for the church for many years. She was a member of the Emily Flint Rebekah Lodge #62.

Family includes her daughter Elizabeth Eastman and husband Roger of Milan, NH; her sister Virginia Vachon of Berlin, NH; she also leaves behind eight grandchildren: Angela, Susan Chris, Shelby, Caitlin, Betsey, Jon and Todd; ten great grandchildren Nick, Abby, Grace, Emily, Matt, Chelsea, Emmit, Aiden, Alexis and Haley; ten great-great grandchildren: Mason, Brooke, Ethan, Iva, Braden, Bodhi, Sawyer, Theodore, Colter and Georgia; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Norman S. Hancock, her sons Norman F. Hancock and Donald W. Hancock, a brother Percy Hamlin and his wife Mae and a brother-in-law Armand "Gid" Vachon.

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 10AM in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Route 16, Milan, NH. At Olive's request, there will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Milan United Methodist Church, PO Box 386, Milan, NH 03588. Arrangements are entrusted to the Bryant Funeral Homes, Berlin and Gorham.
