Olive I. (Bisson) Sullivan, 98, passed away on Sept 21st, 2014 after an extended period of failing health. Olive was born in Berlin on June 3rd, 1916 the daughter of Francois and Maxima (Nadeau) Bisson. She was a lifelong resident of Berlin and took great pride in her community and her Franco-American heritage. Olive was one of 15 children and retained close ties to her extended family throughout her life. Cates Hill in Berlin was the sight of several large family gatherings. A lover of flowers and gardening, Olive was known throughout town as the lady with all the flowers. She was known for giving away plantings to anyone who stopped. The focus of Olives life was her family, her faith and her love of gardening, painting, cooking and sewing clothes for all her family. During her life Olive worked at Converse Rubber Company and at Notre Dame High School. She also volunteered for several years with the American Cancer Society and teaching art at the Berlin Recreational Department. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Sullivan was predeceased by her husbands, Henry Beaulieu in World War II and by Harry Sullivan in 2000. She was also predeceased by 13 of 14 of her siblings and her son in law, Louis Amato. She is survived by her children, Paul Beaulieu and his wife Marjorie of Bow, NH, Suzanne Amato of Nashua, NH and Harold Sullivan and his wife Nancy of Manchester, NH. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Roderick Beaulieu, Daniel Beaulieu, Gina Boucher, Jo Hovious, Lynn Bedard, Craig Sullivan and her step grandchildren, Ryan McLaughlin and Scott McLaughlin. In addition she is survived by eight great grandchildren and by her sister Adeline Ramsey. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday September 26, 2014 at 10 AM at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish. Interment will be in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin on Thursday afternoon and evening from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society in her memory.
