Patricia M. Jensen

April 5, 1947 — August 1, 2024

Shelburne, NH

Patricia Margaret (Pike) Jensen, 77, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on August 1, 2024, in Lebanon, New Hampshire, following a brief illness. She was born in Berlin, New Hampshire, on April 5, 1947, to Patrick Pike and Florence (Cote) Pike. She was raised in Gorham on Cascade Hill, where she attended St. Benedict’s Academy and Gorham schools. After graduating from Gorham High School in 1965, she attended Grahm Junior College in Boston and lived in the city briefly before returning home to New Hampshire. In 1970, she married her husband Rolfe. With brief stops in Lisbon, Lancaster, and Littleton, they ultimately built their home and lives in Jefferson, where they spent 20 years before returning to Gorham, then Shelburne in 2001. Patricia was fiercely devoted to her family, her number one priority. She had two sons and a daughter, and always could be found volunteering at Jefferson Elementary School or, later, supporting them in all their activities. As they grew up and added seven grandchildren to her family, she loved spending time with them all, whether talking, playing, going on an adventure, or simply being their biggest cheerleader. She loved being a mom and grandma.

In addition to her family, Patricia had many, many friends who became like family through her warmth, kindness, generosity, and inclusion. They often would try new things together that would become many of her hobbies over the years, including crocheting, ceramics, quilting, and oil painting. She was a voracious reader, champion Scrabble and Words with Friends player, and a longtime volunteer for the Guardian Angel Thrift Shop. Patricia’s door was always open for a cup of coffee or tea with those she loved, or she was ready to hop in the car for a shopping adventure, whether for a good yard sale, primitive home décor, bargains, or, most recently, shopping with her family and friends at Garnet Hill.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Rolfe. She is also survived by her son Keith Jensen and his wife Regina; son Adam Jensen and his wife Jennifer; daughter Sarah Farwell and her husband Tim; grandchildren Abbey Jensen, Lily Jensen, Natalie Jensen, Luke Jensen, Seth Jensen, Garrett Jensen, and Henry Farwell; brothers Gary Pike, Jimmy Pike, and Bobby Pike; sisters Donna Pike and Cynthia Larochelle; aunt Lorraine (Cote) Healey; uncle Richard Cote; brother-in-law Robert Jensen; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her mother and father, as well as her brothers Ronald Pike and William Pike; aunts Edna Dunham, Pauline Hoffman, Lucille Laperle, Mary Jane Nadeau, Irene Roberge, Mary Sgrulloni, and Agnes Shepherd; and uncles Albert Cote, Harry Pike, Ralph Pike, Robert Pike, Walter Pike, and William Pike.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, 1:00 PM at Holy Family Cemetery, 30 Church Street, Gorham, New Hampshire.
