Paul Couture

Paul Couture, 83, of Berlin, NH, passed away on Tuesday February 18, 2014 at St. Vincent de Paul Rehab and Nursing Center in Berlin. He was born in Berlin on May 12, 1930 the son of Donat and Rosanna (Landry) Couture and was a lifelong resident. He served with the National Guard and was employed by Brown Company and James River Corp for 42 years as a crane operator. Paul was a member of Good Shepherd Parish and a former member of the Androscoggin Valley Fish & Game Association. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and was a tinkered, always designing and making things. Family members include his wife Irene (Legere) Couture of Berlin, NH; sons Leo Couture and wife Gail of West Milan, NH and Roger Couture of Berlin, NH; grandson Nicholas; great-grandchildren Leo and Hannah; siblings Lionel Couture of Berlin, NH, Leo Couture of Berlin, NH, Lillian Lauzier of CT, Jeannette King of Berlin, NH and Olive Bourassa of Berlin, NH; nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his siblings Roland Couture, Marie Rose Babineau, Cecile Gagnon, Florence Croteau and Romeo Couture. Graveside Services will be held in the spring at St. Kieran Cemetery in Berlin. There will be no calling hours. The Bryant Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
