Paul E. Dooley

Paul E. Dooley, 69, of Berlin, passed away on March 9, 2023. He was born in Boston, MA on February 27, 1954, the son of Michael and Margaret (Banks) Dooley. Paul was raised and educated in the Boston area prior to moving to Berlin in 1982 to care for his mother, where he has resided since. Prior to his retirement, Paul had been employed as a contractor with Bancroft Construction for over 20 years. He enjoyed carpentry, quarter-mile auto racing, and fishing.


Family includes his wife, Cynthia Dooley of Berlin; daughters Shannon Grube of VA, Meghan McCollum of NC, and Erin Litton of VA; grandchildren Sydney Litton, Jake McCollum, and Drew McCollum; step-grandchildren Kyle Higgins, Kimberly Higgins, Nicholas Mulluvie, Jesiah Longo, and Anthony Isolano; step-children Pamela Beaulieu of Berlin and Jessica Isolano of FL; brother Edward Dooley and wife Debbie of Wentworth, MA; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws; and his two special dogs, Bello and Sophie.


A graveside service will be held on May 2, 2023 at 1 PM at the Russian City Cemetery in Berlin. There will be no calling hours. Anyone who wishes may make a donation in Paul’s memory to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are entrusted to the Bryant Funeral Homes of Berlin & Gorham, NH.
