Paul A. Favreau

December 5, 1955 — January 17, 2025

Berlin, NH

Paul A Favreau, 69, passed away peacefully on Jan.17, 2025 at DHMC with his loving family by his side. Paul was born in Berlin, NH on Dec. 5, 1955 to Rosario and Edmee (Chagnon) Favreau. As a lifelong Berlin resident, and class of 1973 graduate of Notre Dame/Berlin High School, Paul spent his entire life in “The City that Trees Built.” 32 years of his working career were dedicated to the paper industry as an employee of the Brown Company (James River) pulp mill, which allowed him to raise his family. He ended his working career as a clinical staff member at Coos County and St. Vincent nursing homes in Berlin. Paul’s strong desire to help others, while always taking the opportunity to exchange stories with those he cared for brought him joy. Paul always lived his life with purpose and unwavering dedication. Whether he was walking, biking, or hiking, Paul believed that physical activity and outdoor pursuits were key to a fulfilling life. A few of his personal accomplishments included hiking all 48 of the White Mountain Four Thousand Footers and biking over 200 miles in 2 days from his home to Coaticook, Quebec. Although he sustained numerous physical limitations during his final years,

Paul’s will to stay active remained foremost until his final days. Paul also had a deep love of music, especially Jazz, and curated an extensive collection of albums. He would look forward to attending live music performances annually. In 2016, he was blessed with his guide dog, Rosie, whose unwavering loyalty and love were a constant comfort to him. During his later years, his grandsons brought him immense pride, and he looked forward to hearing about their adventures and accomplishments. Paul will be remembered for his hard work, high energy, exceptional memory, and his deep commitment to his family.

Paul is immediately survived by his devoted wife of 49 years Louise (Labonte) Favreau, a daughter Andrea (Favreau) Fleenor, (Steven), and grandchildren Bryce and Wyatt of Arundel, ME, a son Matthew Favreau (Meredith) of Dalton, NH, a sister Anne-Marie Favreau (Claude Ouellette) of Merrimack, NH.
