Mr. Perley E. Lang Jr., 85, of Spruceville Road, West Milan, passed away on Sunday morning Sept. 28, 2008 at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH. He was born in Milan, NH on Sept. 18, 1923 the son of Perley E. Lang Sr. and Helen L. (Leighton) Lang and was a lifelong resident. He was a US Army veteran of WW2. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a scaler for Diamond International Paper Company. He was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans Mt. Washington Chapter #8 and a member of the 88th Infantry Division Association, Inc. in Lancaster, PA. Perley was an avid hunter and trapper. Members of the family include his son Elmer Lang and his wife Tracy of West Milan; two grandchildren David Lang and his wife Cindy of West Milan and Douglas Lang of Milan; four great grandchildren Jacob, Cassidy, Garret and Kyleigh; a brother Francis Lang and his wife Pauline of Lakeland, FL; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his wife Ethel (Bacon) Lang, by six sisters Eliza, Esther, Elizabeth, Mertie, Grace and Rose and by five brothers Henry, Everett, Albert, Wilson and Kermit. SERVICES: A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday morning Oct. 1, 2008 at 10 AM in the Chapel of the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Avenue, Berlin, NH. Interment will follow in the Sand Hill Cemetery in West Dummer. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday afternoon and evening from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. Anyone who wishes may make a donation in his memory to the New Hampshire Food Bank, 62 West Brook St., Manchester, NH 03101.
