Phyllis A. Pelkey

Phyllis A. Pelkey, 65, of Gorham passed away with her family by her side on Saturday February 21, 2015 at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin. Mrs. Pelkey was born in Berlin on March 1, 1949 a daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Potter) Reardon was a lifelong resident of the Berlin Gorham area. She was a 1967 graduate of Berlin High School and worked at several local shoe and clothing factories previous to her 25 years of employment at Labonville Clothing in Gorham where she retired as management. Phyllis loved spending quality time with her grandchildren, children and sisters, often enjoying her sister's and or daughter's company over an afternoon out for lunch. Family members included her husband of 41 years Ralph Pelkey of Gorham, a son James Pelkey and his wife LouAnne Pelkey of Gorham, a daughter Karen Pelkey of Gorham, three grandchildren, Ryley Vallieres, Emma Pelkey and Caleb Moffett, sisters Mary Fortier and husband Roland of Brooksville FL and Faye Ruel of Berlin, uncles, several nieces, nephews, mother in law and numerous sisters and brothers in law. She was predeceased by a son Roland Pelkey and a brother Frank Reardon Jr. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday afternoon February 25, 2015 at 1 PM at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin. Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday prior to the service from 11AM to 1PM. Burial will be in the New City Cemetery in Berlin.
