Raymond J. Leclerc, 88 of 17 Hinchy Street, passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at his son's home in Belmont, N.H., after a long battle with cancer. Born on December 15, 1924 in Berlin, N.H., he was the son of Edward Leclerc and Mabel (Nolin) Leclerc.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Noella Leclerc, currently residing in Belmont, NH. He lived most of his life in Berlin.
He is a 1942 graduate of Berlin High School. After serving duty with the US Army Modern Day Cavalry Tank Core as a tank mechanics instructor, Raymond left at the end of WWII to manage Leclerc's CafAC. in Berlin.
He later worked for Saunders construction performing multiple mechanical skills including plumbing, carpentry and electrical work. He was privately employed for several years, eventually working for Brown Company, retiring under the ownership of James River Corp.
He is survived by Paul and his wife Gloria of Concord N.H., Dennis and his wife Beverly of Belmont, N.H.,two sisters Marion Tremblay of Sunrise, FL., Leona St. Hilaire, of Berlin, grandsons David Leclerc and his wife Jennifer Leclerc of Manchester, Kristina Halfpenny and her husband Shaine of Concord, N.H., Robin Schofield and her husband Michael of Belmont N.H. and Aaron Leclerc and his wife Cara Scala of Concord, N.H., grandchildren Brenden and Morgan Schofield of Belmont, N.H. and June Leclerc of Manchester, N.H.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am Thursday, January 10 at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish, 345 Pleasant Street, Berlin, NH.
Visiting hours will be held from 9:00am to 10:30am at Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 72 High Street, Berlin, N.H.
