Raymond Bergeron formally of Countryside Ave died peacefully with his granddaughter by his side on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at St. Vincent de Paul Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, he was 83 years old. Ray leaves his wife, Pauline, of 42 years, who he doted on and was the love of his life. Ray was known by all as MacGyver. He was gifted with an imaginative mind and he used it plenty. He made unique and numerous toys for the kids. He loved antique cars and for many years would attend many of the car meets. He also used his antique cars for weddings. He loved being with his son Ray Jr. and looked forward to spending time with him at his shop. He also loved spending time at their camp in Millsfield. He will be sorely missed but will always be remembered in many ways.
Born and raised in Berlin, he was the son of Conrad and Maria (Dube) Bergeron. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1956-1957.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by his infant daughter Rose Marie; his brothers Roland, Marcel and Ronald and his sister Rolande.
He leaves behind his loving wife Pauline (Pepin-Mercier) Bergeron of Berlin; a son Raymond Bergeron Jr. and wife Ann of Milan, NH; Stepchildren Debora Payeur and husband David of Berlin, NH, Pamela Van Vlaanderen and husband Robert of Berlin, NH , Brian Mercier and wife Gisele of Litchfield, NH, and Carl Mercier and wife Lynne of Berlin, NH; Grandchildren Ryan Duquette, Amy Porter and husband Trey, Nicholas Payeur and wife Christa, Ariel Cusson and husband Joshua , Julia Mercier and fianc Adam Bessel, Jacob Mercier, Kyle Mercier, Kara Mercier and David McGloughlin; Great-grandchildren Travis and Josie Duquette and Alice and Liam Porter; a sister Muriel Roy and husband Normand, sisters-in-law Claire, Jeannine and Charlene Bergeron; brother-in-law Leo (Joe) Pepin and wife Lucille; Several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, May 19, 2017 from 6:30pm til 8:30pm at Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 72 High Street, Berlin, NH.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 10:00am at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish, Berlin, NH. Interment will follow at St. Kierans Cemetery, Berlin.
