Rev. Mark A. Rundzio

Reverend Mark A. Rundzio was called to his rest and to the glory of the Resurrection promised by the Lord on January 13, 2024. He was 72 years old.

Father Rundzio was born on April 9, 1951 in Paslek, Poland, arrived in Peabody, MA in 1964 and ordained a priest on May 23, 1981 by the Most Reverend Odore J. Gendron, D.D. at Saint Joseph Cathedral in Manchester. Father Rundzio studied at Boston College, and then he pursued ecclesiastical studies at St. John's Seminary, Brighton, MA and Mt. St. Mary's Seminary, Emmitsburg, MD.

Father Rundzio served as associate pastor of Sacred Heart Parish, Manchester; St. Michael Parish, Exeter; St. Thomas Aquinas Parish, Derry; Parish of the Resurrection, Nashua; and Mary, Queen of Peace Parish, Salem. He served as Administrator, then Pastor of St. Stanislaus, Winchester and as Pastor St. Joseph Parish, Center Ossipee and Holy Family Parish, Gorham.

There are no known surviving family members. He was predeceased by his parents Walter and Anna (Kozlowski) Rundzio, as well as close friends Mary Rockwood and Walter Tannebaum.

The Most Reverend Peter A. Libasci, Bishop of Manchester, will preside at a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anne Church, 345 Pleasant St., Berlin, NH on January 26, 2024 at 1:00 pm, all are welcome. Committal will take place in the spring.  Father Rundzio will lie in repose at the church from 11:00 a.m. till 1:00 p.m, prior to the Mass.
