Richard F. Breton

 Richard F. Breton, 81, of Gorham, passed away on Sunday February 23, 2025 at his home. He was born in Berlin on November 6, 1943 the son of Alphonse and Gertrude (Lavertue) Breton and was a lifelong resident of the area. He graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1961 and served 3 years in the US Army and 18 years in the National Guard. Richard had been employed as a store keeper for both the Burgess and Cascade mills and was a member of Holy Family Parish. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and especially playing cards. Richard also enjoyed watching his granddaughter play hockey.

 Family includes his daughters Jennifer Downs and her companion Dave Fortin of Gorham, NH and Alyssa Doucette and husband Steve of Bethel, ME; his granddaughter Laney Downs; his sister Susan Harris of Berlin, NH; several nieces and nephews.

His daughters would like to give a big Thank You to AV Home Care, In Your Home Care and North Country Home Health and Hospice for their amazing care and allowing him to be home in his final months.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday March 1, 2025 at 1 PM at the Bryant Funeral Home, 1 Promenade St. in Gorham. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 12-1 PM, prior to the service. Interment will be at a later date in the NH State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.
