Richard "Rick" L. Flint, 67, of Milan, passed away on Friday, August 4, 2023 at the Flint Family Farm surrounded by his family. He was born on September 3, 1955 the son of the late Clifton L. and Virginia R. (Rollins) Flint and lived in Milan all of his life. He graduated from Berlin High School Class of 1973 and went on to attend the University of New Hampshire graduating with a B.S. in Animal Science. In the 1980s, Rick began farming on the family homestead and slowly grew the size of the dairy herd over time from around 50 milking Holsteins to a herd of over 400 head of cows with help from his wife and children. Farming was Rick's passion and this he instilled in his children. During his lifetime, Rick was very involved with and served in leadership capacities, with numerous agricultural organizations.
He is survived by his wife Karen (Tankard) Flint of Milan, NH; his children: Kathleen Kay of Milan, Joshua Flint and fiance Shelby of Dummer, Hannah Flint and significant other Andrew Paraski of Landaff, NH, Caleb Flint and fiance Morgan of Northumberland, NH and Daniel Flint and significant other Molly Sloane of Milan; grandchildren: Eli and Molly Kay of Milan; his siblings: Judith Comperchio and significant other John Sanders of San Diego, CA, Dana Flint and husband Carlton Humphrey of Morton, PA and Thomas Flint and wife Sydney of Milan; many in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents and a brother Clifton Flint, Jr.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at 10am at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 101 Norway St., Berlin with interment following at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Milan. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Monday, August 7 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, 101 Norway St., Berlin, NH 03570 or Coos County 4H Foundation c/o: Flint Farm, 811 Milan Rd, Milan, NH 03588.
