Richard Labbe

Mr. Richard Labbe, 76, of 135 Granite Street, Berlin, NH passed away unexpectedly on Thursday January 8, 2009 at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin. He was born in Berlin on June 12, 1932 the son of Rene and Yvonne (Berube) Labbe and was a lifelong resident. He was a US Navy Veteran of the Korean War and had been employed by Brown Company and James River Corp. for 43 years. He was a member of the Ryan-Scammon Post #36 American Legion and enjoyed hunting, fishing and his camp at Lake Umbagog. Members of the family include his wife Doris (Lacasse) Labbe of Berlin, NH; 2 sons Raymond Labbe and wife Louise of Berlin, NH and Roger Labbe and wife Marilyn of Berlin, NH; 5 grandchildren Kristy Godbout of Berlin, NH, Mariel Campbell of Berlin,NH, Jeremy Labbe of Marquette, MI, Erik Labbe of Berlin, NH and Stephanie Labbe of Berlin, NH; 2 brothers Gordon Labbe and Rene Labbe, Jr.;1 sister Joan Ort; nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, a brother Milton Labbe and a sister Shirley Bryant. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday January 13, 2009 at 11:00 AM at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin, NH. Interment will be in the St. Kieran Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 9 to 11 AM prior to the service.
