Rita L. (Pinette) Croteau of 3094 Westland Road, Brooksville, FL and formerly of Grafton Street Berlin, NH passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2018 in Brooksville, FL She was 85 years old.



Born on June 19, 1932 in Berlin, NH she was the daughter of Fernando and Angeline (Labbe) Pinette.



Rita attended St Joseph Grammar School and was a 1950 graduate of Notre Dame High School in Berlin. She was a member of the Guardian Angel Parish, now Good Shepherd Parish. She was a former member of the ladies of St. Annes. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, bowling, playing cards, bingo, and going camping and going to Casinos.



On June 2, 1952, she married Sylvio Croteau.



She was employed as a nurses aide for St Louis Hospital and then later for Androscoggin Valley Hospital for many years later worked as a Registrar at Androscoggin Valley Hospital. She retired in July of 1994.



Ritas greatest joy was her family; she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was also a foster parent to many children.



Besides her parents, she is pre-deceased by her husband Sylvio who passed away in 2014 and her step-mother Jeannette Pinette,



She leaves behind a daughter Sylvia Charest and her husband Roger of Berlin, NH; Two sons Paul L. Croteau and wife Lizanne of North Reading, Mass and Ronald R. Croteau and his wife Diane of Barrington, NH; Six grandchildren: Stephanie Blair, Mark Charest, Matthew Charest, Andrew Croteau, Kayla Croteau and Michael Keyichian; four great-grandchildren: Caitlin & Lindsey Blair and Benjamin and Tyler Charest; her brother Rene Pinette and wife Doris of Brooksville, FL; step-brothers Roger Perreault and Walter Pinette; and step-sisters Claire Patrick and Laurette Robichaud and several nieces, nephews and cousins.



A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00am Friday, June 29th at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish in Berlin. Interment will follow at Mt Calvary Cemetery, Berlin.



Calling hours will be held from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 6:00pm to 8:00pm Thursday, June 28th and also from 8:30am to 9:30am Friday, June 29th (prior to the mass) at Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 72 High Street, Berlin, NH.
