Robert A. (Spider) Moores

Robert A. (Spider) Moores, 63, of Berlin, passed away on Saturday April 26, 2014 at his home. He was born in Patterson, NJ on January 20, 1951 the son of Randolph and Marie (Powell) Moores and moved to Berlin at age 15. He graduated from Berlin High and attended Plymouth State College. He had been employed by the local paper mill for over 30 years and then by Caron Building Center for several years. Spider was a member of the Androscoggin Valley Country Club, enjoyed golfing, softball, candle pin bowling and spending time at the beach. He enjoyed spending time with his grandson, Caleb, and with his family and friends and was an accomplished wood worker. Family included his son Jason Moores and girlfriend Chelsea Skoog of Concord, NH; grandson Caleb Moores of Groton, NH; parents Randolph and Marie (Powell) Moores of Portland, ME; sister Christine Martin of Berlin, NH; brothers Steve Moores and wife Gina of Hornell, NY and Larry Moores and wife Cathi of Standish, ME; girlfriend Marlena Morel of Berlin, NH; several nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his wife Christine (Trottier) Moores in 2011. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday May 2, 2014 at 11 AM at the First Baptist Church in Berlin. Interment will be in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin on Thursday afternoon and evening from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM.
