Robert O. "Bob" Caron

Robert O. “Bob” Caron, 99, of Berlin, NH passed away on January 31, 2025 at his home, with family by his side. He was born in Berlin, NH on August 24, 1925 the son of Hormidas J. and Lea P. (Lemieux) Caron and was a lifelong resident. Robert was a US Army veteran of WW2, where he served with the 10th Mountain Division. He was a member of Good Shepherd Parish, the White Mountain Post #2520 VFW and the Ryan-Scammon Post #36 American Legion in Berlin. He and his wife Pauline wintered many years in Florida and enjoyed playing cards with friends and was a member of cribbage clubs there. Robert also had great enjoyment in helping people, as he was a Jack of All Trades and enjoyed entertaining people at his camp on Cedar Pond in Milan. 

Members of the family include two sons Leo Caron and his companion Therese Cote Albert of Berlin and Roland “R.C.” Caron and his wife Janet of Berlin; five grandchildren Carl, Todd, Brett, Jessica and Meagan; eight great grandchildren; a brother Maurice Caron and his wife Camille of Gorham and Florida; two sisters Therese Theriault and Olive Gagne, both of Berlin; many nieces, nephews and cousins; 2 brothers in law George Croteau of Florida and Gerard Berthiaume of Berlin; a sister in law Joann Downs of Gorham. He was predeceased by his wife Pauline (Fournier) Caron and several siblings. 

SERVICES: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday February 6, 2025 at 1:00 PM at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish. Interment will follow in St. Kieran Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Avenue, Berlin on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 PM.
