Mr. Robert J. Mainguy, 76, of 625 Second Avenue, Berlin, NH passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Thursday evening April 1, 2010 at his home. He was born on July 29, 1933 the son of John and Eugenie (DeChamplain) Mainguy and was a lifelong resident of Berlin. He was a US Navy veteran of the Korean War and had been employed by the local paper mill for 36 years prior to his retirement. Bob was a member of Good Shepherd Parish, the Ryan - Scammon Post #36 American Legion, and a Third and Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus. Members of the family include his wife Lucille (Leveille) Mainguy of Berlin; three children Claudette Rano and her husband Dennis of Center Conway, Susan Sikora and her husband Richard of Burlington, VT and Mark Mainguy and his companion Annette MaGrath of Berlin; four grandchildren Tiffanie Bell, Anthony Rano, Lindsay Sikora and Kyle Sikora; nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by six brothers Ernest, Andy, Pete, Leo, Roland and Rene and by three sisters Albina Groleau, Annette Denis and Georgiana Babe Blais. SERVICES: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday morning April 6, 2010 at 11 AM at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish, 345 Pleasant St., Berlin, NH. Interment will be in the St. Kieran Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Avenue, Berlin, NH on Monday evening from 7 to 9 PM. Anyone who wishes may make a donation to the A.V.H. Home Health & Hospice Services, 59 Page Hill Rd., Berlin, NH 03570 in his memory.
