Mr. Robert T. Morneau, 79, of 98 State Street, Berlin, NH passed away on Tuesday October 6, 2009 at the Littleton Regional Hospital. He was born in Berlin, NH on April 26, 1930 the son of Joseph and Marie Ann (Beland) Morneau and was a lifelong resident. He graduated from Berlin High School in 1950 and was a veteran of the US Air Force, having served in the Korean War. He was employed by Brown Co., and James River Corp. as a pipe fitter and retired in 1992. He was a member of St. Kieran Church, now Good Shepherd Parish, the White Mountain Post #2520 VFW and was the treasurer of Boy Scout Troop #207 for 19 years. He was a dedicated husband and father, sports enthusiast and was an accomplished horseshoe player. Members of the family include his wife Ruth L. (Wheelock) Morneau of Berlin, NH: 2 sons Gary Morneau of Littleton, NH and Scott Morneau of Manchester, NH; 3 grandchildren Austin, Maddox and Garron; 1 brother Lionel Morneau of Berlin, NH; nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a son Steven Morneau and 2 sisters, Lea Michaud and Yolande Aube. Funeral Services will be held on Friday October 9, 2009 at 12 Noon at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin. Interment will be in the St. Kieran Cemetery at a later date. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday afternoon and evening from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. In lieu of flowers, anyone who wishes may make a donation in his memory to the Alzheimers Respite Center, 611 Sullivan St., Berlin, NH, 03570 or to the Littleton Regional Hospital Hospice Unit, 900 St. Johnsbury Rd., Littleton, NH, 03561.
