Roland A. Rivard

Roland A. Rivard, 80, of Manchester and formerly of Berlin, passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at the Elliot Hospital in Manchester after a period of failing health.  He was born in Berlin on March 31, 1943 the son of the late Roland D. and Viola (Thibault) Rivard and lived most of his life in Berlin. He graduated from Notre Dame in 1961 and was a sample clerk for Brown Company and Frazer Paper and had also worked at Fleury-Patry Funeral Home. Roland had served in the National Guard and was a member of Good Shepherd Parish, Knights of Columbus and the Holy Name Society.

Family includes his children Paul Rivard and his wife Tinya of Franklin, NH, Michael Rivard of Manchester, NH, and Kevin Rivard and wife Darcie of Springfield, NH; grandchildren Megan, Brooke, Kyle, Katrina, Nicholas, Justin, Vera and Margaret; and step grandchildren Zoe, Abby, and Olivia; his sister Sr. Suzanne Rivard, p.m. of Manchester NH. He was predeceased by his wife Lillianne M. (Roberge) Rivard on April 2, 2019. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 9, 2024 at 1pm at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish, 345 Pleasant St., Berlin, NH with interment following in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may call from 11:30am to 12:30pm at the Bryant & Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin, prior to the mass.  In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Catholic Charities (https://www.cc-nh.org/ways-to-give/donate/).
