Ronald R. Poirier

Ronald R. Poirier, 71, of Berlin, passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital after a long period of declining health. He was born in Berlin on January 14, 1945 the son of Hector and Florence (Salvas) Poirier and was a lifelong resident. Ron served four years in the U. S. Navy. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time at his camp on Umbagog Lake. He was an avid Montreal Canadiens fan. Family includes his wife Jane (Desilets) Poirier of Berlin, NH; a daughter Karen Ouellette and husband Carl of Cambridge, NH; a brother Richard Poirier and wife Charlotte of Frederick, MD; a sister Susan Dion of Berlin and Florida; aunts, an uncle, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents and a sister Yvette Rowe. In accordance with his wishes, there will be no services. The Bryant Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
