Rose Ann Giordono

Berlin, NH

Rose Ann Giordono, formerly of Strafford Street in Berlin, NH, passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at Grafton County Nursing Home following a period of declining health. She was 92 years old.

She was born on June 18, 1924 in Berlin, NH. She was the daughter of Joseph and Geni (Morando) Accardi.

She attended Berlin Schools and was a parishioner of St. Annes Church of Good Shepherd Parish (formerly St. Kierans Church).

On Feb 1, 1945, she married Carl P. Giordono. They had been married for 59 years at the time of his passing in 2004.

She was employed as a sales clerk at W.T. Grants Department Store for several years and then as a clerk at the Pleasant Street Pharmacy. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and gardening, participated in a bowling league, and was a member of the Androscoggin Valley Golf Club. In retirement, she wintered in West Palm Beach, FL with her sister. She enjoyed spending time with her daughter, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter Antoinette Thomas and husband Robert of Littleton; two granddaughters, Carlene Whitcomb and her husband Jeffrey, and Kate Paradice and her husband Charles, all of Littleton; five great-grandchildren, Emma and Sara Whitcomb, Olivia, Cooper, and Parker Paradice; and a sister, Mommina A. Craft of West Palm Beach, FL, as well as several nieces and nephews. She is pre-deceased by her husband Carl, as well her parents and her two brothers John and Patsy Accardi and her sister Florence Pickford.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Friday, September 23 at St. Annes Church of Good Shepherd Parish in Berlin. Burial will follow at St. Kierans Cemetery in Berlin. There will be no calling hours.
