Ryan M. Leavitt, 33, of Milan, NH, passed away suddenly at his home of an unexpected medical event on January 12, 2025. He was born in Exeter, NH on March 19, 1991, the son of Mark E. and Janet A. (Nadeau) Leavitt, and was raised and educated in Rye, NH. He went to private high school at Governor Dummer Academy and graduated in 2009. He then obtained a Business Degree from Lyndon State College. Ryan had been employed by Milton Rents as the manager of the Gorham Branch. He was a contractor at Seabrook Nuclear Power plant prior to that, and had owned and operated RML Landscaping as well. Ryan enjoyed playing golf, skiing, and snowmobiling with family where he was known as “Big Cat” by his cousins. He was an avid athlete throughout his school years. He had a passion for cars and diesel trucks, and was a lover of all animals. Ryan met his wife, Meghan, in 2019 and married in September of 2023. Together they enjoyed traveling on ski trips, enjoying time at home with their animals, and working on their passion project of renovating an 1890s Victorian home.
Family includes his wife Meghan (Coursey) Leavitt of Milan, NH; his parents Mark and Janet (Nadeau) Leavitt of Milan, NH; maternal grandparents Marcel and Lucille Nadeau of Sanibel Island, FL; maternal great grandfather Robert Litvin of Berlin, NH; aunt Lisa Nadeau Sprague of Hooksett, NH; uncle Richard Leavitt and his wife Brenda of Bridgton, ME; cousins Austin, Devon, Derek and Alicia. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents Bud and Lois Leavitt.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, January 19, 2025 at 12 noon at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 10 AM to 12 PM, prior to the service.
