Sonja M. Sheldon

Sonja M. Sheldon, 87, of Millsfield, NH, passed away on Monday April 14, 2025 at her home. She was born in Acton, MA on February 17, 1938 the daughter of Emery D. and Margaret J. (Christofferson) Nelson and has been in the Colebrook-Millsfield area since 1991. She owned and operated a bed and breakfast in Colebrook and later one in Millsfield called, Peace of Heaven. Sonja attended the Errol Congregational Church and was a member of the Garden Club, and Grange #217 in Colebrook where she had served as Chaplin. She was also a member of the Colebrook Chamber of Commerce where she had served as the treasurer and a former member of the Colebrook Kiwanis Club where she had served as a director for many years and was a member of the winning Bocce Team, and was in charge of inter-clubbing for many years. She was an avid quilter and often made raffle quilts to support local causes. She started the pot roast supper at the Errol Congregational Church and donated handmade quilts to support the church.

Family includes her husband Charles Sheldon of Millsfield, NH; her sister Faith A. Priest of Worcester, MA; nieces, nephews, and in-laws. She was predeceased by her siblings Allen H. Nelson, Robert Nelson, and Cynthia A. Nelson.
