Sophie A. Mortenson

Sophie A. Mortenson, 93, formerly of Stearns Brook Rd, Milan, passed away on Thursday March 13, 2014 at the Coos County Nursing Home. She was born in Berlin on May 29, 1920 the daughter of John and Ella (Stenberg) Johnson and was a lifelong resident. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and loved doing crafts, gardening and sewing. Family members include her daughter Roberta Bradstreet and husband Timothy of Gorham, NH; her son Robert Mortenson and wife Cynthia of Milan, NH; 10 grandchildren, Kevin Mortenson, Bruce Mortenson, Wendy Boucher, Phil Emery, Michael Emery, Glenn Emery, Robert Dalphonse, Dana MacLeod, Andrew Mortenson and Arik Mortenson; 13 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Theodore Mortenson, a daughter Nancy Emery and a son Herman Mortenson. A graveside funeral service will be held at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Milan at a later date at the convenience of the family.
