Mrs. Stella M. Roger, 91, formerly of 426 Church Street, Berlin, NH passed away on Monday July 19, 2010 at the Coos County Nursing Home, following a long period of declining health. She was born on July 6, 1919 in Berlin, NH the daughter of Nicholas and Zoe (Godin) Albert and was a lifelong resident. She was a faithful communicant of St. Annes Church, now Good Shepherd Parish. Stella graduated from local schools, enjoyed the simple things in life, being with her family, especially her grandchildren. She lovingly dedicated 63 years of her life caring for her blind and developmentally disabled son, Albert, until his death in 2006. She was a devoted homemaker, excellent cook and avid baker particularly renowned in the family for her marvelous pies. Stella enjoyed long walks and playing cards with her many friends. She loved people and socializing. Members of her family include her daughter and son-in-law Cecile and George Labrecque of Berlin, NH and Lakeland, FL; her grandson Mark Labrecque of Portsmouth, NH; her granddaughter and husband Amy and Steve Ramsey of Milan, NH; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Willie J. E. Roger in 1997 and her son Albert in 2006. She is also predeceased by her parents Nicholas and Zoe (Godin) Albert as well as her brothers and sister Philip, Omer, Alphonse, Azade, Eddie and Rita (Mrs. Luc LHeureux). SERVICES: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday July 22, 2010 at 11 AM at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish. Interment will be in the Mount Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin on Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 PM. Donations in her memory may be made to Senior Meals or to the Activities Fund at Coos County Nursing Home.
