Stephen H. Woodward

 Stephen H. Woodward, 79, of Dummer, passed away on July 12, 2024 at his home of natural causes. He was born in Berlin, NH on December 18, 1944, the son of the late Howard T. and Harriet E. (Ward) Woodward and graduated from Berlin High School in 1962. He graduated from UNH with a degree in Forestry and after graduation he served in the US Army. Most of Steve’s time in the Army was during the Vietnam War and he was an artillery surveyor. Steve followed in his father’s footsteps and became a self-employed forester, where he managed woodlands for the Woodward family and for others. He was a man who enjoyed living a simple life, and he was happiest when his work took him into the woods. Over the years, he worked with many different loggers and all who knew him, respected his knowledge of forestry management. He will be missed by family and friends.

 Family includes his siblings Norma Andrews of Gorham, NH, Ann Kaiser of Hampton, NH, Carol Lee Amoroso of Spring Hill, FL, William Woodward of Hampton, NH, and Martha Murphy of Havre de Grace, MD, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his sister Marion Moriglioni.
