Sylva L. Morrissette formerly of 351 Coos Street passed away Tuesday, February 01, 2011 at Coos County Nursing Home following a period of declining health. He was 98.
Born on Feb 19, 1912, he was one of 12 children to Alfred and Georgianna (Chateauneuf) Morrissette.
A lifelong resident of Berlin, he owned and operated Syl's Market on Forbush Avenue in Berlin for many years.
He was a member of Guardian Angel Parish now known as St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish in Berlin and was a member of the Holy Name Society.
He was an avid Boston Red Sox and Bruins fan.
He is pre-deceased by his wife Isola A. Lacasse (1992) and 11 siblings.
Survivors include three sons: Laurence Morrissette of Santa Monica, Ca Albert Morrissette and his wife Marie of Berlin and Robert Morrissette and his fiancAC.e Cecile Labbe of Berlin.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11AM Monday, February 7 at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish in Berlin. Rev. Mark Dollard will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Anne's Cemetery in Berlin.
Calling hours will be held from 2-4pm and 7-9 pm Sunday, February 6 at Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 72 High Street, Berlin. (Use School St. entrance).
