Sylvia C. Bernier

Sylvia C. (Cavagnaro) Bernier, 89, of Berlin, passed away on Sunday March 31, 2024 at her home, surrounded by family. She was born in Berlin on September 27, 1934 the daughter of the late Reynold and Eliza (Nadeau) Cavagnaro and was a lifelong resident. She graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1952 and had worked at Converse Rubber Company and retired from James River Corporation. Sylvia was a member of Good Shepherd Parish and loved to knit, crochet, make puzzles and camp at Success Pond, where she enjoyed spending time for most of her life. She had a great sense of humor and enjoyed making people laugh. 

Family includes her children Dennis Bernier and wife Laura of Milan, NH, Liza Rivard and husband Gary of Berlin, NH and David Bernier and wife Sherri of Cape Coral, FL and Naples, ME; grandchildren Chad Bernier and wife Melissa, Aaron Bernier and wife Kristy, Lauren Sargent and husband Andy, Krista Hayes and husband Ian, Jeffrey Rivard and fiancée Amber Rich, and Jeremy Rivard and partner Gabriella Razzaboni; great-grandchildren Bryce Bernier, Mylee Bernier, Bodey Bernier, Aubrey Bernier, C. J. Cinseruli and Wally Hayes; siblings Andrea Tremblay and husband Romeo of Berlin, NH and Claudia Gibson and husband Ralph of Hanover, NH; sisters-in-law Esther Cavagnaro of Berlin, NH and Lorraine Johnson and husband Rolfe of Portland, ME and brother-in-law Paul Bernier and wife JoAnn of Berlin NH; nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Roger Bernier and her brothers James Cavagnaro and Ronald Cavagnaro.

Graveside Services will be held on Friday June 28, 2024 at 1 PM at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Berlin. There will be no calling hours.
