Tammy L. Davis

November 16, 1962 — February 9, 2024

Jacksonville, IL

Tammy L. Davis (Wentworth), 61, of S Diamond St, Jacksonville, Il, formerly of Dummer, NH, passed away on Friday February 9, 2024, at the Regency Hospice Nursing Facility.  She was born in Dummer, New Hampshire on November 16, 1962, the daughter of the late Paul and Phyllis (Bacon) Wentworth and moved to Missouri to be with her son in 2013.  From there she moved to Illinois in 2015.  She worked in healthcare and local restaurants for most of her career and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  Tammy loved nature and with appreciation, recognized the Lord’s hand as providing the beauty we enjoy in Northern New Hampshire.  Though she moved away, she always called NH her home.  Tammy will be remembered for her endearing sense of humor.  She could find humor in nearly every circumstance, brightening any room, and making difficult times for friends and family endurable.  Tammy had many talents.  She was a very good cook and loved sharing her recipes.  She loved caring for plants and found great joy in gardening.  She expressed herself in poetry and art, and was admired for her drawings of many Northern NH birds.  Most of all, she loved her two boys, grandchildren and her family.

She is survived by her children Lee Douglas and Jenna of Newport, VT, and Luke Douglas and wife Corinne of Newmarket, NH, grandchildren Ethan, Cayden, Jessa, and Gavin Douglas, siblings Janice Lagace of Goffstown, NH, and Amy Goyette and husband Roger Goyette of Jefferson, NH, as well as several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her brother-in-law Robert Lagace.

A graveside service will be held later in the Spring. The Bryant Funeral Home is assisting with the arrangements. Online guestbook at www.bryantfuneralhome.net
