Thelma Phyllis Kenison

Thelma Phyllis Kenison, 94, of Berlin and formerly of Freedom, NH, passed away Monday afternoon April 3, 2017 at the Coos County Nursing Home in Berlin. Mrs. Kenison was born in Somersworth, NH on December 4, 1922 a daughter of Ross and Eleanor (Blaisdell) Glass. Phyllis was raised in Newfields, NH, and lived in Exeter, NH where she worked assisting her husband with their business, Kenisons Floor Covering. She later retired in Freedom, NH on Ossipee Lake. Her memberships include the Order of Eastern Star, Ladies Guild in Freedom and the First Christian Church of Freedom. She enjoyed singing in the church choir, painting and raising her three sons. She is survived by her sons and their spouses; Alan and Vivian Kenison of Berlin and Wayne Kenison and Betty Benedict of Berlin; two sisters June Armstrong of Exeter and Laurel MacNeil of Brentwood; a brother Vernon Glass and wife Carol of Newfields, 11 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Lyman D. Kenison, a son Darrell Kenison and grandsons Wayne Kenison Jr. and Jacob Kenison. A graveside service will be held on Friday May 12, 2017 at 1 PM at Newfields Cemetery.
