Theresa S. (Marcou) Maddalena

Mrs. Theresa S. (Marcou) Maddalena, 81, of 106 Rheims Street, Berlin, NH passed away on Saturday afternoon July 11, 2009 at her home. She was born in Berlin, NH on December 10, 1927 the daughter of William and Elizabeth (Hayes) Marcou and lived in Berlin for most of her life. She moved to Rhode Island in 1978 and returned to Berlin in 1994. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Converse Rubber Company and for Bostich Stanley in Rhode Island. Theresa was a member of Holy Family Church, the Ladies Auxiliary of the White Mountain Post #2520 VFW and was an avid crafter. Members of the family include her husband Richard A. Maddalena of Berlin; a daughter Kristine Ann Letarte and husband James of Coventry, RI; 3 sons Shawn R. Maddalena and fiancee Sue Fortin of Milan, William A. Maddalena and his wife Kim and Kevin P. Maddalena, both of Berlin; 3 grandchildren Timothy Letarte, Kevin Letarte and Alex Letarte, all of Coventry, RI; 2 brothers Harold Marcou of Deep Creek, FL and Daniel Marcou of Gorham; a sister Margaret Peggy Dalphonse of Cascade, Gorham; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by 5 brothers Oscar William Marcou, Pat Marcou, Brendan Marcou, Billy Marcou and Leo Marcou and by 2 sisters Betty Dalphonse and an infant sister. SERVICES: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday morning July 15, 2009 at 10 AM at Holy Family Church, Gorham, NH. Interment will be in the St. Kieran Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin, NH on Tuesday from 6 to 9 PM.
