Therese L. Fortier

Mrs. Therese L. Fortier, 97, of Berlin, passed away on January 17, 2025 at St. Vincent de Paul Nursing Home. She was born in Berlin, NH on October 25, 1927 the daughter of the late Argenas and Anna (Roy) Croteau. She was a long time member of St. Joseph, now Good Shepherd Parish. Therese enjoyed making puzzles and matting them with her many friends. Over the years, she crocheted many blankets for her children. Her Catholic faith was a guiding force throughout her life.

Members of the family include her children: Mrs. Anna Southerland of Wilmington, NC, Mrs. Claudette Boutin and husband Rene of Gorham, NH, Leo Fortier and wife Donna of Berlin & Florida, Henry Fortier and wife Cindy of Chesterville, ME, Donald Fortier and wife Jennifer of Groveton, Jacqueline Arsenault and husband Ronald of Stafford, VA, and Armand Fortier of Berlin; many Grandchildren, many Great-Grandchildren and Great-Great Grandsons; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Gerard A. Fortier in 1985, a grandson Christopher John, son-in-law William Southerland, as well as her 4 brothers Josephat, Gerard, Rosario and Romeo Croteau; and her 7 sisters: Albertine, Simonne, Lucia, Beatrice, Lorraine, Rollande, and Clarise. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at 10am at Good Shepherd Parish, 345 Pleasant Street, Berlin, with interment following in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Bryant & Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin on Tuesday from 4-6pm.
