Mr. Thomas Tommy E. Hynes, 59, of Quinn Court in Berlin passed away on July 4, 2008 at his home. He was born in Berlin, NH on March 5, 1949 the son of Edward P. and Irene R. (Jacques) Hynes and was a lifelong resident of the area. Prior to his retirement he was employed by Fraser Papers as a Lab Technician and was also employed at Converse, Granite State for many years. Mr. Hynes loved gardening and was an exceptional cook famous for his relish and meat pies. He was very generous and giving with his hospitality. He also was an avid sports fan and enjoyed playing cards, especially bridge and cribbage. He was a former member of the Eagles Club, Local 75, and was also a former Little League Coach. Members of his family include two sons Scott Hynes of Berlin and Randy Hynes and his fiance Kristey Goodrum of Berlin; two step sons Nathan Turgeon of Florida and Matthew Turgeon of Portland, OR; seven grandchildren Misty, Tyler, Ashley, Samantha, Legacie, Maraha and Adrien; two sisters Francie Valliere and her husband Mike of Berlin and Barbara Demers of Berlin; nieces Meagan Demers and Hillary Valliere; a nephew Jeffrey Demers; and special friend Donna Spencer of Berlin. He was predeceased by his parents. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday July 9, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Avenue in Berlin. Interment will be in the St. Kieran Cemetery in Berlin at a later date. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday in the afternoon and evening from 2 to 4 PM and 7 to 9 PM.
