Mrs. Wanda P. Matesky, 84, a resident of the St. Vincent de Paul Healthcare Center, Berlin, NH passed away on Saturday April 21, 2007 at St. Vincent de Paul Healthcare Center in Berlin, NH. She was born in West Branch, New York on March 16, 1923 the daughter of Raymond and Nora (Drake) Potter and grew up in Rome, New York, spent most of her life in Circleville, Ohio and came to New Hampshire in 2005. She graduated from Syracuse University and was a Registered Nurse, having served in the US Army and was employed for twenty two plus years as a school nurse for the Pickaway County School System in Circleville, Ohio. Wanda was a member of the Community United Methodist Church in Circleville and had worked summers at Camp Wabanaki on Sebago Lake, ME. Members of the family include a son David A. Matesky and his wife Helene of Jackson, NH; two grandsons Kevin Grigg of Rochester, Minnesota and Eric Grigg of Montana; her son in law Roger Grigg of Coeur dAlene, Idaho; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Thomas Matesky in 1990, a daughter Karen Grigg in 2000, a brother Paul Potter, and by two sisters Mary (Potter) Church and Jane (Potter) Crum. SERVICES: There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Ohio and in New York. Interment will be in the Rome Cemetery in Rome, NY. In lieu of flowers, anyone who wishes may make a donation in her memory to the Pickaway Senior Center, 2105 Chickasaw Drive, Circleville, OH 43113, 740-474-8831. Arrangements are by the Bryant Funeral Homes of Berlin & Gorham, NH.
