William F. Durant

William F. Durant, 53, of Errol, NH, passed away unexpectedly on December 20, 2023, at Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital in Colebrook, NH. He was born in Berlin on September 14, 1970, the son of the late David Kenneth Durant and Lora Lee (Wilson). He graduated Berlin High School in 1988 and later attended White Mountains Community College with a diesel mechanics concentration. 

Billy was a hard worker who wore many hats throughout his life including holding a Class A license and driving for Isaacson Steel, operated the Burgess paper machines, working as a mechanic for the Wentworth Golf Course, and numerous other jobs. He was incredibly skilled with his hands and could build almost anything from scratch without a blueprint.  

In his spare time, Bill was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, snow machining, and four wheeling. He was a member of the Fur, Feather, and Fin Club as well as the Androscoggin Fish and Game Association. Above all, he loved and cherished his family.  

He is survived by his daughter Danielle Durant of Johnston, RI; a brother Ken Durant and wife Priscilla of Wrentham, MA, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.  

Relatives and friends are invited to attend memorial service on Friday, June 7, 2024 at 1 PM at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin. Visitation will be held from 11AM – 1PM, prior to the service. Interment will follow at the St. Kieran Cemetery, Berlin, at which time William will be laid to rest alongside his parents.
