Mr. William J. Lamontagne, 91, of 866 Fifth Avenue, Berlin, NH passed away on Monday September 17, 2007 at the St. Vincent de Paul Healthcare Center in Berlin. He was born in Berlin on September 22, 1915 the son of Emile and Emma (Beaulac) Lamontagne and was a lifelong resident. He had been employed as a pipe fitter by Brown Company and was a member of the United Paperworkers International, the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the VFW Post # 2520 in Berlin. He was a member of St. Anne Church. Members of the family include his wife Violet (Pigeon) Lamontagne of Berlin, NH; 2 sons Richard Lamontagne and his wife Sharon of Cumberland, RI and Rene Lamontagne and his wife Priscilla of Goffstown, NH; grandchildren Shelly Beck of Greenfield, MA, Wendy Campbell of Danbury, CT, Stacy St. Cyr of Scituate, RI, Jodi Lamontagne of Cumberland, RI, Michael Lamontagne of Huntersville, NC, Michele Strout of Manchester, NH, Matthew Lamontagne of Goffstown, NH; great-grandchildren Colman Lee and Felix Beck of Greenfield, MA, Jasmine Lamontagne and Jonathan Lamontagne of Huntersville, NC and Ava Strout, Manchester, NH ; and a brother Leo Lamontagne. He was predeceased by sisters Alice King and Yvonne Johnson and brothers Alphonse Lamontagne, Lucien Lamontagne and Albert Lamontagne. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday Sept. 21, 2007 at 1:00 PM at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish. Interment will be in the Mount Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Avenue, Berlin, NH on Friday morning from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM, prior to the funeral. Donations in his memory may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Activity Fund, 29 Providence Ave., Berlin, NH, 03570.
