William J. Mann

Mr. William J. Mann, 71, of 22 Gerrish Street, Berlin, NH passed away on Sunday November 26, 2006 at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin. He was born in Berlin on June 8, 1935 the son of Harold W. and Frances (Hickey) Mann and lived most of his life in Berlin. He also lived for a few years in Rhode Island and Kentucky. He was a US Army Veteran having served 13 years in the Airborne Division. He was a member and Past Commander of the Ryan-Scammon Post American Legion of Berlin and a member of the White Mountain Post # 2520 VFW in Berlin. Members of the family include his wife Barbara (Dailey) Mann of Warwick, RI; 5 sons James Mann, Michael Mann, John Mann, Eric Mann and Billy Joe Mann all of Kentucky; 1 daughter Rebecca Goates of Texas; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; step children and step great-grandchildren; 2 brothers Ronald Mann of Hollis, NH and Michael Mann of Columbia, ME; 3 sisters Mary Hamel of New Ispwish, NH, Martha Denis of Pueblo, CO and Patricia Munroe of Berlin, NH; aunts, uncles, nieces nephews and cousins. A Memorial Service with Full Military Honors will be held at the NH State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH on Friday December 1, 2006 at 11:00 AM. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association. The Bryant Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
